Bridge over the brookThe weekend of Friday 18th till Sunday 20th November saw our annual joint Seniors camp with 1st Kidderminster return to Cooper's Mill in the Wyre Forest, which had recently been reopened after a considerable time of closure and renovation. This year the camp was also be open to Company sections members to attend.

From Saturday the 23rd until Saturday 30th July, two members of our company joined our good friends 1st Kidderminster as they held their annual company Summer Camp as a special week-long camp under canvas in Abergynolwyn (between Tywyn and Machynlleth) in Wales, near the Snowdonia National Park.

Our annual Awards Evening took place on Thursday 14th July at the United Church, Lye. Every member of the Company was be recognised in some way for their service and loyalty to the Company, Brigade and Church throughout the last 12 months.

From Saturday 28th May till Friday 3rd June the Junior, Company and Senior sections of the 1st Lye company headed to Weston-super-Mare for our annual Summer camp, where we stayed in the Clarence Park Baptist Church near the Sea Front.

From Thursday 21st till Monday 25th April, the Junior, Company & Senior members of the 1st Kidderminster and 1st Lye companies returned to the Far Forest Centre (near the Wyre Forest) for the second time, for our annual Easter Camp. As this year is the 125th anniversary of camping within the Boys' Brigade, those whom attended received a special badge in recognition of this.

On Monday 7th March members of the Junior, Senior and NCO sections of 1st Lye joined others from across the Worcestershire Battalion at Milton Hall Baptist Church, the home of 1st Kidderminster, for one of the most important of the annual Battalion competitions - the Scripture Competition.

Pennine Way Blog launched

In 2012 members of the 1st Kidderminster and 1st Lye companies will be embarking on a walk along the Pennine Way in Northern England.
