- Pennine Way Challenge 2012(62 days)
- Joint Summer Camp 2012 - Cooper's Mill(99 days)
Events
From Saturday 2nd till Friday 8th June we will be returning the much enjoyed Llandudno, staying at Gloddaeth United Church where we have stayed several times in the past, for our annual summer camp. The camp will be open to Junior, Company and Senior members of the company.
The camp this year is being held later than usual due to the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, and there will be two Bank Holiday days (namely Monday and Tuesday) whilst we are away.
Planned activities for the camp include:
- A day at the Tree Top Adventure park
- A return visit to the John Nike Ski & Snowboard Leisuresport Centre on the Great Orme for snowboarding, tobogganing and crazy golf
- A day in the Snowdonia area, including a "walk to the top" - note this won't be compulsory for the younger boys (not to mention the older Officers)
- A visit to Conwy
Also on our last day we will have tea out somewhere followed by ten pin bowling. For a good idea of what we've been up to in the past at Llandudno, see the Summer Camp 2010 page.
Important information for those attending
The cost of this camp will be £90 per person, to be paid in full beforehand. The boys will be allowed £30-40 pocket money at the parent's discretion via the 'camp bank'. Anyone wishing to pay weekly should see Iliffe Attwood or Peggy Richards.
Details of times, kit lists etc will be made available on this page and in letters as the camp nears. For the moment, Iliffe needs to know who will be attending as soon as possible so she can being reserving places.
