Events
On Sunday 4th July, after over a year of work and preparation (including the Seniors Challenge 2009 and the completion course) our five Queen's Badge candidates were joined by fellow candidates from 1st Kidderminster, and other companies from across the West Midlands district and beyond along with many officers and parents at the Methodist Church on Stratford Road in Shirley, Solihull for the presentation of their Queen's Badges.
Our annual Awards Evening was taken by Steve Bentham on Thursday 15th July at the United Church, Lye. Every member of the Company was recognised in some way for their service and loyalty to the Company, Brigade and Church throughout the last 12 months. Iliffe was happy that parents and any other family members were able to come along and support members when they received their awards.
In addition to our annual Summer Camp at Llandudno in May, we also held a Joint Summer Camp with 1st Kidderminster in July. We were originally planning to return for the second time to the Far Forest Centre (shown right) in the Wyre Forest, where we held our Easter Camp for the first time this year - however the Centre was not available at the time. Instead we held the Joint Summer Camp at Milton Hall Baptist Church, the home of 1st Kidderminster.
