From the Friday 28th to the Sunday 30th of January members of the Junior, Company and Senior sections of the 1st Lye company were joined by those from 1st Kidderminster for the annual joint New Year's Camp.
The events of the camp - a report by Graham Knight
On Saturday we travelled on the train into Birmingham and walked to Millennium Point where the Think Tank and IMAX cinema are sited.
We spent the day looking around the exhibits on the various floors packed with loads of interactive activities to have a go on.
There was a number of workshops and shows available. Some of us took part in the Wallace and Gromit Invention workshop where we spent an hour making a invention created by the creators of Wallace and Gromit. There was a a show on explosions which was loud, a show about planets and also sea life.
After raiding the gift shop we went to see TRON legacy on the 3D IMAX cinema. The effects were brilliant watching the film on the massive screen.
Afterwards we headed back on the train back to Lye where a nice roast dinner was waiting for us. On the evening the lads they watched a DVD before having devotions. The lads soon went to bed as they had been up most of the previous night!!
On Sunday morning we joined the church for the family service and then finished our camp after lunch. Thanks to all the Boys and staff for another great camp.
