The important occasion in the life of the BB took place on Sunday 2nd November at 18:00, and was be conducted by Mr Stephen Bentham and our own Chaplin, Mr Alan Thompson.
On Sunday 2nd November 2008 we held our Enrolment Service for the 2008/2009 Session at The United Chruch, Lye. This service, which is important for members to attend was conducted by Mr Stephen Bentham around the theme of the Brigade's object (below), how it is as relevant today as it was relevant 125 years ago when Sir William Alexandar Smith instilled it into the organistaions first members.
"The advancement of Christ's Kingdom among Boys, and the promotion of habits of Obedience, Reverence, Discipline, Self-Respect, and all that tends towards a true Christian Manliness."
Jonathon reminded everyone of the necessity to be enrolled. Brigade Regulations remind us that "Early in a new Session, every member and Company is enrolled as part of The Boys' Brigade". Many of the Company Section, NCO's and Seniors took an active part in the service.
