Sir William Alexander Smith, founder of The Boys' BrigadeEach year The Boys' Brigade celebrates its founding by Sir William Alexander Smith on the 4th October 1883.

The Worcestershire Battalion will be holding Founder's Day Parade & Service in Worcester, for Boys in all Sections, this Sunday 5th October.

Boys need to be ready to depart from The United Church at 12:45(pm) prompt wearing full, clean and correct uniform.

In the case of Boys who have yet to receive their uniform, could such Boys please aim to wear School (black formal) shoes and trousers, with a sweatshirt (red for Anchor Boys or blue for Junior Section Boys).

Optionally, Boys may wish to join us at our proceeding Sunday morning Church Service, which begins at 10:45am; such Boys should bring a packed lunch to eat whilst they wait with us after the Service before we head to Worcester.

We expect to return to Lye for approximately 17:00, depending on traffic and other factors.

In the case of any Parents wishing to join their Son/s on the Parade, as may be appropriate for younger Anchor Boys, please be advised that you will need to provide your own transport as we won't have the extra space on the minibus. Please speak to an Officer if this affects you.

On the day, emergency contact numbers are those of our Acting Captain and Officers in Charge of Sections, whose details can be found on the bottom of weekly Newsletters and (in less detail) on the Contact us page of this website.
